PAC takes
artists to Las Vegas!
July 18.2004

PAC session LAS VEGAS 04
On Monday, July 19, you will be
sent a ballot and instructions on how to vote for
your favorite Pacific Art Collective nominees. You,
your friends, your family and the entire world have
the opportunity to vote on which of these nominated
artists will accompany PAC to perform and showcase
at PAC session Las Vegas, October 1, 2004.
Think American Idol, minus the
kids singing Madonna hits. Here you will be voting
for original Painters, Standup Poets, Dancers, DJ's
and upcoming Musicians. These artists will be chosen
by you to represent the diversity and cultures of
Pacific regional artists.
Since December 2002, the majority
of funds raised during PAC session have been donated
to facilitate the ultimate PAC session event in another
great city of the World. Nominees that have performed
at PAC session and over 70 pieces of artwork created
by PAC artists will be showcased.
Hosted by Las Vegas's First Friday,
PAC session Las Vegas is expected to draw between
four to five thousand people. This event focuses on
how the unity of collaborative arts can bring artists,
cultures and cities together.
The Las Vegas event cross-pollinates
Pacific Regional artists and networks, four major
Pacific cities, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles
& Las Vegas. This happening will bring to light that
the Bay Area is more than a tech capitol, that Los
Angeles is more than Hollywood, and that Las Vegas
is more than rhinestones and casinos. These cities
are also vibrant centers for the arts, culture, and
community.
The Pacific Art Collective's success
has inspired others and drawn a blueprint for other
collectives and organizations wishing to follow our
footsteps. PAC session has become a major catapult
for our Bay Area and the Pacific art movement.
An enormous amount of love and
gratitude go out to everyone that participates and
believes in our vision.
Over 280 artists have performed
and showcased at PAC session. One by one and together
we have translated our lives and soul's into art.
We are the Pacific Art Collective, cultural exposure
through unity of art.
